Weighted Walking Emerges as a Top Fitness Trend

A new fitness movement called "weighted walking" is gaining popularity, with experts touting it as a safer and more accessible way to enhance daily exercise. Rucking—walking with weight on your back—is being praised for its effectiveness in improving strength and endurance without the risks of high-impact workouts.

Amped Fitness is set to open two state-of-the-art gyms in Houston this summer, featuring immersive lighting and creator-friendly environments. These clubs aim to redefine the fitness experience with bold designs tailored to modern lifestyles.

Planet Fitness offers a special deal through May 16, allowing new members to join for just $1 down and $15 a month, with no commitment. The promotion includes access to free fitness training and various equipment, aligning with the brand’s mission to provide a welcoming environment.

SUMMER MOBILITY WORKSHOPS: IMPROVE PERFORMANCE AND PREVENT INJURY

Starting July 15th, we're introducing our specialized Summer Mobility Workshop series focused on enhancing movement quality and preventing common training injuries.

These 60-minute sessions will run every Sunday morning and address specific areas including shoulder mobility, hip function, thoracic spine mobility, and ankle/foot mechanics. Each workshop combines assessment techniques, targeted mobility drills, and practical implementation strategies that integrate directly with your strength training program.

Our approach remains consistent with our core training principles, ensuring that mobility work is specific to your individual needs and progressively challenging. These workshops are designed to complement our strength and conditioning focus, addressing the often-overlooked foundation of quality movement.

Limited to 10 participants per session to maintain quality coaching. Members can register for individual workshops or the complete 8-week series at a discounted rate. See the front desk for details or book through our member portal.
